Job Description
LBM Journal, an established, national business-to-business media company, has an opening for an Associate Editor. Compensation will be based on candidate's skills and experience. This role has significant opportunity for advancement.
Responsibilities
Research, interview, and write original stories for print and digital platforms
Collaborate with in-office and remote team members on editorial projects
Occasional travel to cover industry events
Host live webinars
Proofread and copyedit articles, columns, and features to fit LBM Journal’s style
Our Ideal Candidate
Will have at least three years of editorial experience for a publication or media company
Has published writing samples that show strong reporting and storytelling skills
Is curious, resourceful, eager to learn, and works well with deadlines
Be social media savvy, and comfortable with video
Is comfortable with publishing technology (including AI) as a tool to work smarter
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in journalism, English, or Communications
Be proficient with Wordpress, AI, and publishing technology in general
Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects
Solid writing, editing, proofreading, and interviewing skills
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
