Basic Function The primary function of the Business Process Efficiency Engineer is to provide manufacturing expertise that supports the development and implementation of global manufacturing standardized business processes to drive overall efficiency, simplification, and effectiveness.
The role interfaces with the manufacturing end users to understand gaps and needs. The role is also a key contact between Manufacturing and the IT/Digital organization and works closely with the overall Business Process Efficiency team.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities - Work directly with the manufacturing personnel in their region to understand their issues and areas of opportunities within a specific business process
- Collaborate with the Business Process Efficiency Managers to design global processes
- Support the end users, along with the IT dept. and with SME/super users, in the change management aspects associated with implementation of standardized global business processes that bring end to end optimization
- Support the facilitation of manufacturing super users teams as needed to ensure best practices are shared and competency is retained on the SAP modules and IT/Digital tools
- Serve on IT/Digital project teams for IT/Digital solutions
- Support SAP integrations
- Work with the sites for input into the business case IT project justification
- Understand the gaps with master data, partner with other organizations on road map development and gap closure
- Facilitate teams of SME's/Centers of Excellence/Global Process Owners on business process improvement needs and technology roadmaps
- Leverage existing IT/Digital solutions to support efficiency gains
Min. Qualifications Education
- Bachelor's degree in a related business function such as Engineering, IT, Chemistry or Business required. Engineering degree preferred.
- Process Re-engineering, Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma experience preferred
Experience
- Experience in some combination of business process re-engineering, change management and/or IT systems implementation as they relate to Manufacturing functions
- Approximately 6-12 years of experience in manufacturing
- Experience in a global, fast-paced, dynamic and deadline driven environment
- Experience with Internal Controls
- Demonstrated experience in process management (KPI and benchmarking)
- SAP competency in the relevant functional areas preferred (PM, PS, MM, PPPI, QM)
- Multi-site experience preferred
