Job Description
Job Summary:
This role is for a Registered Nurse Case Manager in an Emergency Room setting. The RN will provide skilled nursing care, case management, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team within a fast-paced acute care environment. The position requires a minimum of two years of inpatient acute care experience and floating between various units (ICU, PCU, ED, Family Birth, Adult Medical) within the hospital.

Responsibilities: - Providing skilled nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department and other assigned units.
- Performing patient assessments, medication administration, and treatment planning.
- Collaborating with physicians, other nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Managing patient cases, including discharge planning and coordination of care.
- Floating to various units as needed to meet facility needs.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
Required Skills & Certifications: - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington state or a compact state.
- Minimum of two years of inpatient acute care experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills & Certifications: - Case Management Certification (CCM or ACM).
- Experience with Milliman Guidelines or InterQual Criteria.
Special Considerations: - Floating between ICU, PCU, ED, Family Birth Center, and Adult Medical units is required.
- Every other weekend (EOW) is required.
- No on-call requirements.
- A 50-mile radius from the facility is preferred for travel.
- Return to work (RTO) restrictions are flexible but ideally under seven days.
Scheduling: - Three 12-hour shifts per week.
- Shift times are variable.
