Role Summary The Nursing Informatics Advocate Intermediate works independently on projects of moderate complexity, engaging in multiple initiatives simultaneously. They utilize the knowledge of clinical practice, computer science, and information technology to manage data, determine suitable components to build, and maintain alignment with professional standards of clinical practice, AdventHealth policies, and identified best practices. Responsibilities include coordinating with end users in analyzing and documenting clinical workflows, performing gap analysis, identifying needed process changes, and developing future workflows during implementation of new solutions or functionality. They mentor new hires, communicate with all levels of hospital leadership and clinicians, and serve as liaison between Nursing and AIT, utilizing the hospital performance improvement process to achieve clinical operations goals. They provide 24 hr on‑call support to hospital facility nursing departments for various clinical applications, support change management strategies, communicate project status with informatics leadership and stakeholders, and actively participate in outstanding customer service while maintaining respectful relationships. The Value You’ll Bring to the Team Provides 24/7 on‑call support to operations, including off‑duty shifts, evenings, nights, and weekends, to fully support operations during major installs. Assesses clinical workflow processes, identifies gaps, defines necessary process changes, and develops future workflows for new solutions or functionality. Provides education on new applications or functionality, including train‑the‑trainer, Service Line Expert, upgrade, and other training as necessary. The Expertise and Experiences You’ll Need to Succeed 5+ years total between clinical and informatics experience. Recent experience with health information technology. Current, valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of primary work locale. Driver License, valid and in state. Preferred Qualifications Master of Nursing or Informatics‑related field. Experience supporting applications used by clinicians. CPHIMS – Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems. Certified Associate in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CAHIMS). American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification.
