Key Responsibilities

• Preconstruction services and estimate preparation for assigned projects.
• Lead the development of complex cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals for multiple projects.
• Estimating projects which typically range from $500,000.00 to 50 million dollars.
• Coordinate and lead the preparation and assembly of complete, well formatted estimate presentation/ report amongst all team members.
• Estimate self-performed work and pricing the labor, equipment, and material costs for sitework, concrete, masonry, rough carpentry, etc.
• Attend pre-bid meetings to determine the scope of work and required contents for the estimate.
• Perform/manage document distribution - Ensure complete inventory of documents; distribute plans, specifications and all other pertinent documents to subcontractors; ensure sub information needs are met.
• Prepare subcontractor / vendor list; update subcontractor / vendor database as necessary
• Issue bid invitations to subs / vendors - Ensure adequate bid coverage for each trade package, generate interest and get commitments on sub participation.
• Appropriately address questions to architects / engineers for clarification

Key Requirements

• Strong technological ability.
• 5+ years project estimating experience with a general contractor
• 3+ years Masonry estimating experience.
• Organized and analytical thinker with ability to work as a team.
• Strong working proficiency using estimating and takeoff software, such as, On-Screen Takeoff, Planswift. Additional software experience in Timberline, Bluebeam, and Microsoft programs specifically including Excel.
