Our Client is built on craftsmanship, integrity, and teamwork-delivering quality construction projects that shape communities across Wisconsin and beyond.

We are seeking a Project Superintendent who is both a leader and a hands-on builder. This role is ideal for a carpenter by trade who takes pride in craftsmanship, thrives in field leadership, and can drive commercial and industrial construction projects from concept through completion.

What You'll Do

  • Lead on-site operations for commercial and industrial construction projects.
  • Manage subcontractors and coordinate directly with the Project Manager to maintain project schedules and quality standards.
  • Self-perform rough and finish carpentry as required-this is not a purely administrative role.
  • Provide daily supervision, instruction, and mentorship to carpenters and field crews.
  • Interpret blueprints and ensure construction aligns with specifications, safety regulations, and code compliance.
  • Maintain full accountability for jobsite safety, cleanliness, and productivity.
  • Oversee material procurement, equipment usage, and vendor coordination.
  • Conduct quality control checks, ensuring all work meets company and client standards.
  • Serve as the primary on-site contact, addressing client inquiries and maintaining professional communication.
  • Travel to project sites as needed; company vehicle and trailer available for road projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8+ years of construction field leadership , including 5 years as a Foreman and 3 years as a Superintendent in commercial or industrial environments.
  • Journeyman-level carpenter with proven ability to perform hands-on carpentry.
  • Proficient with tools of the trade; must own and maintain carpentry tools.
  • Strong understanding of construction procedures, OSHA guidelines, and quality standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills; able to manage multiple crews and shifting priorities.
  • OSHA 30 or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills a plus, but not required.
  • Must reside in southern Wisconsin or northern Illinois .

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Pay: $40-$50+ (commensurate with experience)
  • Per Diem: $250/day (non-taxable) plus company-paid lodging for travel projects
  • Bonuses:
  • Quarterly Profit-Sharing
  • Performance-Based Project Bonuses: based on project success
  • ESOP Participation: Eligible after 1,000 hours annually; fully vested after 6 years
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package: Medical, dental, vision, retirement, PTO, and more
  • Company Vehicle & Trailer: Available for field assignments

Why Join

  • This is an opportunity to join a high-performing, employee-owned contractor that rewards initiative, values craftsmanship, and invests in its people. As a Project Superintendent, you'll lead crews who take pride in their work, manage complex builds with autonomy, and see tangible results from your leadership every day.
