Job Description

Come join us at our new build, dual brand Holiday Inn Express/Staybridge Suites Downtown Houston , located two blocks from Daikin Park and less than a mile from George R. Brown Convention Center. The 275 room hotel features meeting space, onsite food and beverage, an outdoor pool, premier fitness center, and on-premises grocery market.

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales to lead and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in outside sales and account management, with a proven track record in business development and customer service. Responsibilities will include developing sales plans, managing key accounts, and fostering relationships with clients to enhance market presence.

Duties

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to maximize performance and productivity.
  • Identify new market opportunities and drive business development initiatives.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure profitable deals.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers while actively seeking new clients.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to align sales strategies with promotional activities.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market analysis for senior management.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in outside sales, technical sales, or account management is essential.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building long-term relationships.
  • Demonstrated success in business development and achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present ideas clearly.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • IHG experience, in a similar role, preferred.
  • Prior dual brand experience is a plus.
  • Experience with new hotel opening is beneficial.
