Job Title: Entry-Level Registered Nurse

SUMMARY:

As a dedicated Entry-Level Registered Nurse (RN), you have the opportunity to be the backbone of patient care at Rochester Regional Health. Your role is vital in making a positive impact on the lives of our patients, their families, and visitors. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver exceptional, patient-centered clinical care.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients, considering physical, psychological, educational and risk-screen data tailored to their age and developmental stage.
• Effective communication and documentation of patient assessments with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Create and document individualized care plans that reflect the patient's needs, strengths, limitations, and objectives.
• Adhere to organizational policies and protocols, including those related to safety and medication administration.
• Continuously evaluate and update patient care plans based on assessments, maintaining timely and accurate documentation.
• Engage in clinical research by completing at least one Clinical Research Utilization form annually, referencing recent research from the United States.

Compliance:

• Achieve a minimum of 5 nationally accredited contact hours (CNE or CEU) each year.
• Complete all mandatory in-services and health screenings on time.
• Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse license in New York State.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

EDUCATION:

AS: Nursing (Required)

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

• BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)
• RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - Ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds frequently, or greater than negligible force up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.
