Position Details
The Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization, Inc. (CEO), is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Executive Director. CEO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation organized in 2008 to “inform, support and inspire college students to be entrepreneurial and seek opportunity through enterprise creation.” The position offers a unique opportunity to lead one of the largest and most dynamic collegiate level entrepreneurship programs in the country with over 250 domestic and international college and university chapters with nearly 16,500 members. The CEO global headquarters is located within the spectacular 25,000 square foot John P. Lowth Entrepreneurship Center at The University of Tampa (UT) in Tampa, Florida. This is a full-time position that offers competitive pay and a full range of benefits. The position will begin immediately with the successful candidate working under the direction and supervision of CEO’s President and Board of Directors. In office attendance at the Tampa global headquarters is required.

Responsibilities
1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization and develop and execute long-term strategic plans.
2. Manage fundraising activities, including national and regional sponsor relationships and a broad range of other funding activities.
3. Manage the annual operating budget of ~$750,000, and the organization’s overall financial resources.
4. Establish and nurture relationships with stakeholders, including educational institutions, corporate partners, foundations, and industry leaders.
5. Manage existing and new programming initiatives and chapter relations.
6. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to staff, encouraging their growth and success.
7. Manage the public relation strategy for the organization including its marketing and web presence.
8. Identify opportunities for growth, expansion, and collaboration to enhance CEO’s mission and vision to support the discipline of collegiate entrepreneurship.
9. Represent CEO at conferences, industry events, and speaking engagements promoting the organizations mission and impact.
10. Support the CEO board of directors as it fulfills its governance function, including such tasks as: attending board of director meetings, preparing, organizing, and maintaining board reports and other financial, legal and programmatic record keeping functions.
11. Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required; master’s degree preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and manage fundraising activities, including national and regional sponsor relationships and a broad range of other development activities.
• Demonstrated ability of managing an annual operating budget of ~$750,000.
• Demonstrated ability of working with business start-ups and collegiate level entrepreneurs.
• Institutional knowledge of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization, past conferences, initiatives and programs a plus.
• Knowledge and understanding of university environments - their structure, organizational goals and objectives, and policies and procedures.
• Extensive knowledge of conference oversight, planning, marketing and implementation.
• Ability to create and maintain financial management budgets, meeting minutes and strategic plans.
• Ability to work with diverse groups including businesses, entrepreneurs, major corporations, universities, charitable organizations, economic development agencies and members of the public.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include early morning, evening and weekend assignments, as well as travel for international, national and regional events.
• Demonstrated competency and ability to use and navigate the Full Adobe Suite (including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator), Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
• Evidence of strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Please Note: Pursuant to a Host Institution Agreement entered into by and between the University of Tampa (UT) and the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization (CEO), this position will be administered through UT’s Human Resources office.
