Job Description

Salary:

The dgs Marketing Engineers’ team influences every product you see and touch. We are a full-service, award-winning global communications agency with more than 37 years of results-driven experience for clients across North America and worldwide. With three of our key focus areas (culture, talent, clients) in mind, we are adding full-time graphic designer to our creative/ production team.

dgs/Magenta is currently seeking a part-time graphic designer who can apply creative design skills to a range of print and digital projects and thrive in a fast-paced production environment. Please note that qualified candidates must live in, or be in the process of relocating to, the Indianapolis area. This is a part-time position for 20 hours/week for morning or afternoon shifts.

Our ideal candidate will be:

  • A superb creative talent - You excel at translating marketing strategies and complex technical product information into viable and dynamic creative concepts.
  • A logical thinker - You’re able to assimilate established brand guidelines and existing campaign parameters as part of your creative ideation process.
  • Dedicated to details - You leave conversations and meetings with everything you need to outline what needs to happen next.
  • An efficient task master - You have an extremely high level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud programs and other software tools used in print and digital production.
  • Stalwart in the face of busywork - You maintain high-quality output even on the occasions when the task at hand falls on the low end of the intellectually stimulating spectrum.
  • Cool under pressure - You know you can handle whatever comes your way and can ably manage deadlines and adapt to changing priorities without batting an eye when the unexpected happens.
  • Tested and proven - Your career may still be in its early stages or you may be decades in, but you’ve at least reached the point where you have some wins under your belt to demonstrate your abilities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Keep things moving - Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various computer software to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals
  • Help drive creative excellence - You’ll be expected to continually manage and promote creative excellence with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Taking ownership - You’ll contribute to workflow and quality control within the creative department by collaborating with internal colleagues and contracted vendors and performing timely documentation within the agency’s project management software.
  • Facilitating the flow of information - You’ll be a nexus of data, connecting and passing along needed information among multiple internal departments, clients and external resources.
  • Constantly learning - Our client base encompasses specialized products and is growing more diverse, so you’ll have no shortage of information to absorb.

And last, but certainly not least, once you’re here, you’ll love that we’re:

  • Established, but still fresh - We’ve been in the business for over 30 years, but we maintain a culture and focus that continues to evolve and expand.
  • A frankly phenomenal team - We come from diverse backgrounds, have a wide range of personalities and excel in supporting each other to achieve awesome results.
  • Employee centric - What’s important to our team members is important to our management and you’ll see that reflected in transparent communication and our approach to constant improvement.
  • Generous with benefits - We offer health and life insurance, competitive pay, generous PTO, 401k contributions, a flexible schedule, hybrid work environment, paid holidays and more.

Skills + Qualifications

  • Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
  • 3-5 years of experience with design software, including Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity and experience with electronic pre-press processes
  • Experience creating designs for the unique needs of social media and websites
  • Experience with photo editing

If this sounds like you, what you want to do and where you want to work, apply today. We look forward to learning more about you!
