Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our team and help ensure our facilities and fleet are in top-notch condition. This position is perfect for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys hands-on tasks in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Maintenance: Perform a variety of maintenance tasks on buildings and grounds, including landscaping and fleet upkeep.
• Safety First: Maintain facilities and fleet to ensure they are safe, clean, and operational at all times.
• Tool Proficiency: Utilize hand and power tools effectively and safely while adhering to safety protocols.
• Team Collaboration: Communicate clearly and follow directions from supervisors, working cooperatively with team members.
• Routine Tasks: Assist with routine maintenance and handyman tasks, demonstrating your versatility and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

• Experience Required: Previous experience in maintenance or handyman work is essential.
• Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
• Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks, including bending, crouching, and standing for extended periods.
• Knowledgeable: Basic understanding of tools, lawn care equipment, and snow removal equipment is preferred.
• Compassionate: Must be comfortable working in the same area as individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Personable Attitude: A friendly and polite demeanor, with the ability to relate well to others.
• Judgment Skills: Ability to exercise sound judgment and follow directions effectively.
