Watching America ( is currently seeking volunteer translators (at least 18 years old) to translate foreign news stories in Portuguese about the United States into English. You do not need prior translating experience to do this. You must be available to find and translate at least one article every two weeks (a minimum of 26 articles per year). Applicants will be asked to translate a test article. While this is a volunteer position, it allows for flexibility in regards to how much or how little you would like to work above the minimum, helps build your resume, comes with an offer of a solid letter of recommendation from Robin Koerner, president and publisher of Watching America, and gets your name on an internationally acclaimed website. All languages are needed and any new ideas you may have for the project are welcome!
