Job Title: Quality Informatics Analyst - SeniorDepartment: Quality Informatics SUMMARY:
The Quality Informatics Analyst-Senior is responsible for data collection, analysis, and presentation of data to improve clinical quality for the participants by providing data and reports based on customer specifications. This will occur by utilizing internal and external sources such as, but not limited to, health care data systems, electronic medical records, paid claims, and national/regional benchmarks. The Quality Informatics Analyst-Senior analyzes data and trends in order to identify underlying quality- and process-related problems and opportunities for improvement measures not limited to current practices, policies and procedures, and end-to-end workflows, and presents this information to stakeholders (physicians, nurses, allied healthcare professionals and healthcare administrators, and enterprise leadership teams) and end-users. The Quality Informatics Analyst-Senior is also responsible for data integrity, timeliness of reports, accurate compilation and submission of data to external benchmarking and regulatory databases, creating tools to be used in data collection, analysis, and reporting of clinical, demographic, and utilization information to various departments and committees. They participate and provide support to the appropriate committees and project teams supporting the organization’s strategic plan. The Quality Informatics Analyst - Senior identifies opportunities for automation of routine reports and liaises with IT departments to help facilitate automation as indicated. The Quality Informatics Analyst- Senior will participate in the determination of annual Quality Improvement Plans and other system-wide and departmental clinical and process improvements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collect, analyze, and present data to various departments and committees as requested, clarifying end-user expectations.
Utilize internal and external data sources such as multiple healthcare data systems and external benchmarks for data collection and verification.
Conduct root-cause analysis to identify underlying problems and suggest opportunities for improvement not limited to current practices, policies, and procedures and end-to-end workflows.
Oversee routine submission of utilization, clinical, financial, quality, and regulatory reports ensuring data integrity and timely and accurate submissions.
Provides statistical analysis in support of the development of improvement plans to directly impact HCAHPS scores.
Provide executive level reporting and analysis to members of the health team as appropriate and to assist in building the organization goals for strategic initiatives.
Reviews current service measurement contracts to establish statistically significant sampling strategies, report on regulatory changes and incorporate into measurement tools and activities.
Provide database management on multiple databases as needed, and in conjunction with System Administrators.
Serve on Quality and Safety Steering teams throughout the health system.
Provide educational presentations and training to physicians and leaders in accessing data from third-party vendor platforms as needed.
Coach, mentor, and train new staff in their assigned duties in order to achieve a standard of excellence in the department.
Demonstrate the organization’s values, guiding principles, strategic drivers, and performance objectives.
Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading of current literature, and attending in-service meetings, team meetings, and workshops.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or other healthcare or business related field required.
(5+) years of experience in data or informatics analysis required.
EPIC Analytic certification required within 12 months of hiring.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or other healthcare or business related field preferred.
(3+) years of experience using coding languages (Python, SQL, R, and SAS), statistical modeling, data manipulation, and business intelligence tools (Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI, Premier, etc.) preferred.
Experience performing data analysis in a healthcare field preferred.
Experience with healthcare quality and safety data is highly desirable.
Experience in a position analyzing information to solve problems, interpreting and communicating information orally and written.

$75,000.00 - $90,000.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
