Heartland Credit Union is seeking an experienced and relationship-focused Senior Commercial Loan Officer to grow and manage our business and commercial member base. In this role, you'll build strong loan and deposit relationships, evaluate and structure loan requests, and deliver tailored financial solutions that help businesses succeed. You'll serve as the trusted face of HCU in the community, partner closely with Commercial Lending staff, and provide exceptional service that drives growth. WORK DETAILS

37th and Maize Road Branch, located at 3777 N Maize Rd, Wichita, KS 67205. Office hours - Monday through Friday 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Participates in developing commercial/business lending and deposit business for the Credit Union.
  • Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining good business relations with members, potential clients and external trade contacts.
  • Establishes and maintains positive and professional working relationships with area personnel and with management.
  • Interviews, takes applications, and processes preliminary documentation on business and commercial loan and services requests. Discusses loan and service alternatives, credit criteria, loan terms, and loan documentation in such a manner as to elicit positive responses from members.
  • Keeps members informed of HCU policies, products and services and maintains good communication to insure satisfaction.
  • Analyzes and evaluates loan requests and prepares written submission for consideration. Identifies problems or potential problems with credit information and coordinates with the necessary party to resolve the problems.
  • Creates and delivers sales presentations regarding products and services for current and prospective members.
  • Provides superior service to our members promptly and professionally.
  • Pro-actively support and advance HCU's brand platform.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Attends meetings and training sessions as required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Two+ years of direct business/commercial lending experience required.
  • Proven past sale success.
  • Real estate lending, and/or business services background helpful.
  • College degree in business, finance, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Well organized and attentive to detail
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and enforce policies and procedures.
  • Stationary for extended periods of time. Moves up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and supervisory skills.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. Will be subject to the required registration process, which includes fingerprinting and a criminal background screening. Fees are paid for by Heartland Credit Union. (MSS and Mortgage)
  • Complete required screenings.
