The role focuses on providing essential services as a School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, ensuring that students receive the support they need to thrive academically and socially.

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
• Relevant experience in a school setting, particularly with K-12 students
• Proficient understanding of speech and language development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other specialists
• Knowledge of assistive technology and therapy techniques

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation of speech and language therapy programs designed by licensed speech-language pathologists
• Conduct individual and small group sessions, providing targeted support to students
• Monitor and document student progress, reporting findings to supervising therapists
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities
