Job Description

A school-based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed for an elementary school setting near Fairfield, CA. This contract role spans the full school year and provides essential support in implementing speech-language therapy services to students under the guidance of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in delivering speech and language therapy to students with communication disorders
• Support the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collect and document data on student progress
• Facilitate classroom and small group activities as directed by the supervising therapist
• Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and families regarding student needs and progress

Qualifications:

• Valid CA SLPA certification or license
• Experience working in a school environment, preferably with elementary-aged children
• Ability to follow therapy protocols and work collaboratively with team members
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Background in supporting students with speech and language challenges
