What You'll Do: - Underwrite purchase, refinance, leasehold, and construction commercial transactions, evaluating title search data, surveys, and zoning.
- Draft and issue title commitments, policies, and endorsements in line with state-specific and national underwriting standards.
- Review and clear title exceptions, resolve curative issues, and communicate with stakeholders to eliminate deal blockers.
- Maintain accurate file documentation and prepare reports on open files, issued policies, and revenue metrics.
- Serve as the main contact for clients and attorneys, providing underwriting guidance and proactive communication.
- Support compliance efforts through file audits, AR tracking, and adherence to corporate and regulatory standards.
What We're Looking For: - Experience: 5+ years in commercial title underwriting with experience in GA, TN, or VA transactions.
- Licensing: Active underwriter license(s) in GA, TN, or VA preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of commercial title insurance practices, escrow, ALTA standards, and legal documentation.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in title production software, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic recording systems.
- Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, analytical, communicative, and professional-able to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
