Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented
Web Developer with proven expertise in managing and optimizing Shopify stores. This role is perfect for a developer who thrives on creating seamless e-commerce experiences, leveraging their technical knowledge to drive growth, and ensuring top-tier performance and functionality of Shopify-based platforms. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Shopifys ecosystem, expert-level coding skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shopify Development & Management:
- Design, develop, and maintain Shopify stores, including custom themes, templates, and integrations.
- Optimize store functionality, performance, and responsiveness to ensure a smooth customer experience.
- Implement custom coding solutions to meet unique business requirements.
- Store Optimization:
- Conduct regular audits of Shopify stores to identify areas for improvement, including page load speed, SEO, and mobile responsiveness.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to implement conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies and enhance user experience (UX).
- Test and troubleshoot issues across the store to ensure a seamless and error-free shopping experience.
- Third-Party App Integration:
- Research, evaluate, and integrate third-party Shopify apps to enhance functionality and support business growth.
- Ensure all installed apps work cohesively without compromising store performance.
- Custom Features & Enhancements:
- Develop and deploy custom features, such as product configurators, subscription models, or loyalty programs.
- Build API integrations with external platforms, such as CRMs, ERPs, or fulfillment systems.
- Technical Support & Maintenance:
- Provide ongoing technical support for Shopify stores, addressing bugs, issues, and updates as they arise.
- Keep the store updated with the latest Shopify features and ensure all integrations remain functional.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and operations, to align website features with business goals.
- Translate design ideas into fully functional web components while maintaining brand consistency.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 3+ years of professional web development experience, with at least 2+ years specifically working on Shopify platforms.
- Proven experience developing and customizing Shopify themes and templates (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Familiarity with Shopify APIs and the ability to build custom integrations.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in front-end development languages, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Strong understanding of Shopifys Liquid templating language.
- Experience with modern web development tools and frameworks.
- Understanding of SEO best practices and performance optimization for e-commerce.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for delivering high-quality, user-friendly e-commerce solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Shopify Plus is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with e-commerce analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, and their integration with Shopify.
- Knowledge of subscription models, payment gateways, and custom checkout flows within Shopify.
- Experience working with Klaviyo, Postscript, or other e-commerce marketing tools.
